AEROPRESS

PARAMETERS

Coffee: 17g (medium-fine grind)

Water: 250ml at 85°C (185°F)

Brew Time: 2 minutes

Ratio: 1:15

METHOD

  1. 01. Place filter in cap, rinse with hot water
  2. 02. Add 17g ground coffee to chamber
  3. 03. Start timer, pour 250ml water in 30 seconds
  4. 04. Stir gently for 10 seconds
  5. 05. Insert plunger, wait until 1:30
  6. 06. Press slowly for 30 seconds
  7. 07. Dilute with 50ml hot water if desired

Pro Tip: The AeroPress is forgiving. Experiment with grind size and brew time to find your perfect cup. Finer grinds extract faster; coarser grinds need more time.

Pro Tip: Don't press too hard. A gentle, slow plunge prevents over-extraction and bitterness. The goal is separation, not force.

FRENCH
PRESS

PARAMETERS

Coffee: 30g (coarse grind)

Water: 500ml at 93°C (200°F)

Brew Time: 4 minutes

Ratio: 1:17

METHOD

  1. 01. Preheat French Press with hot water, discard
  2. 02. Add 30g coarse ground coffee
  3. 03. Start timer, pour 500ml water evenly
  4. 04. Place lid on top, do not plunge yet
  5. 05. Wait 4 minutes without stirring
  6. 06. Press plunger slowly and steadily
  7. 07. Pour immediately to avoid over-extraction
